Effective 1 August 2026 · Applies to the Pocket Links app and this website
The short version: your golf stays on your phone. Pocket Links has no accounts of its own, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party services inside the app. We built it that way on purpose, and this page is short because there is genuinely little to tell.
What the app stores, and where
Your rounds, scores, streaks, card decks and settings are saved in a single file on your device, managed by iOS. It never leaves your device except through Apple features you choose to use (below), and standard device backups you control (iCloud or local backup, per your iOS settings). Deleting the app deletes it.
Game Center — optional
If you are signed in to Apple's Game Center and choose to play ranked rounds, your scores are submitted to Apple's Game Center service so they can appear on leaderboards under your Game Center profile. That service is operated by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. The app sends the score and the information Game Center requires to post it — nothing else. Decline or sign out of Game Center and the game plays identically, minus leaderboards.
Sign in with Apple — optional
You may optionally use Sign in with Apple. The app receives only the minimal identifier Apple provides, stores it in your device's secure keychain, and uses it for nothing beyond recognising you. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else by the app.
Purchases
Pocket Links offers one optional in-app purchase, the Member’s Card. It is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit: your payment details are given to Apple and never to us, and we never see them. The app asks Apple a single question — whether this Apple Account owns the Card — and holds the answer in memory for as long as it is running. It is not written into your save file, not sent anywhere, and not recorded against you.
Because Apple handles the transaction, Apple’s own record of it is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. We receive no purchase history, no receipts, and no identifier tied to a payment.
Our App Store privacy answer
On the App Store listing, every data category is answered Data Not Collected, and tracking is answered No. That is not a technicality: the app has no network layer of its own, contains no third-party SDK of any kind, and sends nothing anywhere. The only data that leaves your device is what you hand to Apple by choosing to use Game Center, Sign in with Apple, or the purchase above — and Apple, not us, holds that.
What we never collect
- No analytics or telemetry — we cannot see how you play, or that you play
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers
- No location, contacts, camera, microphone, or photo access
- No third-party SDKs of any kind in the app — purchases go through Apple’s own StoreKit, and nothing else is linked
- No advertising SDKs, no analytics, no attribution, no tracking across apps or websites
- No selling, sharing, or monetising of personal data — we hold none to sell
This website
pocketlinkgolf.netlify.app is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts are served by Google Fonts and the 3D graphics library by the unpkg CDN; like any web request, those services see your IP address when your browser fetches the files. If you email us, we see your email — we use it to reply and for nothing else.
Children
Pocket Links is suitable for all ages and is not directed at children. The app collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes
If the app ever changes what it stores or sends — for example, a future feature that needs a server — this page will say so plainly before that version ships, with the date above updated.
